A striking slate serving platter featuring my original hand-drawn Highland cow, laser engraved into natural slate and set into a bamboo serving board. Perfect for cheeses, nibbles and sharing, or as a distinctive gift for a Highland cow lover.

  • Bring a little character to the table with this Highland cow serving platter, featuring my own original artwork engraved directly into natural slate.

To make these platters I carefully adapt my original hand drawn Highland cow illustration so that it can be engraved onto slate. The detailed Highland cow drawing is etched into the natural slate insert, then framed by a warm bamboo serving board — creating a striking piece that's made for sharing as well as showing off.

    • Original Highland cow artwork, drawn entirely by hand

    • Laser engraved onto natural slate

    • Removable slate insert set into a bamboo serving board

    • Ideal for cheese, charcuterie, nibbles and sharing

    • A distinctive housewarming, birthday or Christmas gift

    • Designed and engraved by me in my Derbyshire studio

    ORIGINAL HAND-DRAWN ARTWORK

The Highland cow is one of my own, original drawings. I take care, love and time with each detail. l draw each animal by hand before preparing the finished artwork for engraving, preserving all those shaggy lines and little quirks that give him his character.

    NATURAL SLATE & BAMBOO

The dark natural slate makes a beautiful contrast against the warm bamboo surround, while allowing the engraved Highland cow to really stand out. As slate is a natural material, variations in texture, markings and edges are all part of its character, making every platter subtly individual.

The bamboo board is finished with rubber feet underneath to help protect your table or worktop and keep the platter securely in place. The slate insert can also be removed for additional serving and care.

    MADE FOR SHARING

Fill it with cheeses, crackers, fruit, antipasti or your favourite nibbles and bring the whole thing straight to the table. The generous open area leaves plenty of serving space while the Highland cow sits proudly at one end rather than disappearing underneath the food.

    A GIFT WITH A STORY

A lovely choice for Highland cow lovers, foodies and anyone who appreciates something a little different for their home. Because the artwork is my own, it's not simply another Highland cow printed onto a product — it's an original Greenwood Gifted design, taken from sketch to finished platter in my Derbyshire studio.
